**ART & ANTIQUES APPRAISAL FAIRS by ECS                                                **CHARITY AUCTIONS

“ART & ANTIQUES APPRAISAL FAIR”    DIRECTIVE

It is with great honor that D. Hancock & AssociatesLLC continues to produce and direct ECS Art & Antiques Appraisal Fairs (AAF) in our great state of Indiana.  AAF Owners, Dianna Hancock and Alyssa Rice, produce and direct each AAF working alongside a non-profit organization (npo) in each community chosen.  All proceeds are owned by the non-profit organization.   Assisting each NPO in raising monies for charity and scholarships is the greatest focus for each  AAF, as well as, for Dianna and Alyssa.  Dianna L. Hancock has been an active Indiana Auctioneer since 1982 and a certified personal property appraiser specializing in art and antiques and most forms of personal property.  Alyssa Rice is tremendously talented and experienced in large-scale fund-raising coordination and enjoys Art & Antiques, as well.  Both professional ladies hail from Monroe and Owen Counties in South Central Indiana.

With antique enthusiasts in mind, these one-day Appraisal Fairs provide professional, ethical, and thorough verbal fair-market appraisals to each patron.  There is a panel of five to eight professional antique appraisers coordinated at individual stations.   The DHA team of Appraisers sign on to uphold the mandated morals and ethics of professional appraising, some of which include the following:  to verbally relay a tremendous amount of truthful and factual information for each item presented for appraisal, to verbally relay strictly fair market value, and to answer as many questions from each patron as time allows.  Additionally, the Appraisers uphold to never engage in buying or selling at the  Art & Antiques Appraisal Fairs.  Again, there is no buying or selling at the ECS Art & Antiques Appraisal Fairs.  The sole purpose is to inform each patron as to what today’s market should produce for their treasure, heirloom, and chattel, as well as, to present the guest with background information of each item that in many cases was not known prior to meeting with the DHA appraisers.

Sideboards, library tables, Side Stands, Dower Chests, Cupboards, Stained-glass Lamps, Oil Lamps, Victorian and Costume Jewelry, Antique and 20th-Century Firearms and Weaponry, American and International  Framed Art and Art Pottery, elegant Silver Items, Primitive Tools and Gadgets, Sevres/Doulton/Wedgwood/Minton/Nippon/ Items, 16th-Century Manuscripts, 19th-Century Leather-clad Books, Native American Pottery/Baskets/Clothing/Textiles/Jewelry, a multitude of Porcelain/Glass/China, Teddy Bears/Dolls, 19th- & 20th-Century Toys, a wide array of Vintage Novelties, Quilts and Coverlets, Oriental Rugs, Coins & Relics….the list of antique and vintage items appraised at the past AAF’s is infinite and quite exciting!  “We never know what treasures to expect in each community we visit, and this is merely one aspect of why we thoroughly enjoy our AAF’s,” says Dianna Hancock.  “I am very proud of the team of appraisal professionals we have developed; they are very diverse and keenly knowledgeable in their specialty areas.  These appraisers are quality individuals who enjoy, as we do, traveling Indiana and providing these services.  Some of our professional appraisers have individually been in the realm of antiques for more than 40 years – they are walking encyclopedias!”
